Finally found the perfect kit for some baking photos

I finally found the perfect kit for some photos I took of my son back in September.
It is called Oven Lovin' by Scrappy Cocoa.

Here is the layout I made with it.  It is of my little guy helping bake some sugar cookies.  Actually the cookies are called "Moon Cookies."  The recipe was in the back of a book we checked out from the library called The Moon Must Be Milk.  (The book is in the bottom picture).  My son loved that book so much and had a blast making the cookies (and I had a blast scrapping the pics)

This is also my very first CT layout on the GingerScraps stie CT.  GingerScraps is the sweetest site.  It has the a store full of cute products and the forum is such a fun place.  I am thrilled that they asked me to be on their creative team!!  What an honor!  If you haven't checked out the site yet I would encourage you to do so!

Speed scrap with a twist!

FunkyPlaygroundDesigns is going to have a speed scrap on Thusday May 27th!  I really want to go to this one, so I hope my kids cooperate that night so I can attend.  It will be at 9pm EST.

The speed scrap will be in the chat room, but the instructions will also be posted in the forum.  The cool thing is participants will have all weekend to get their layout in!  If you post your layout by midnight EST on Sunday you will get the participation prize.  However if you do get it in "on time" you will be entered into a drawing for a $10 gift certificate.  The participation prize is from Fiddle Dee Dee Designs!  The gift certificate will be provided by Secret Garden!

If we haven't met yet let me introduce myself.  My name is Amy and I am on Sarah's CT.  I enjoy using Sarah's products very much.  Let me show you my latest layout using her brand new kit called My Buddy.

Cute kit huh?!!!  I can see using this kit many times to scrap so many fun memories.

 I really love everything about this new kit.  The papers are so cute, the elements are awesome, and that alpha leaves me speechless.  The alpha alone is versatile enough for ANYTHING! 

Ok enough bragging on Sarah's stuff on to the freebie!

I thought you might like a template with a place for some papers or photos with a cohesive rounded look.  See how the outside is rounded but the inside isn't?   I also made you a little rounded paper strip border you can clip your own paper to that goes around the main paper/photo piece.  This template can be flipped all around to achieve a look all your own.

Hello!

Yep It has been awhile since I've been here.  I have been on the computer quite a bit, but when I am on, I am scrappin' or doing other CT things.  I need to get back to blogging more regularly.  I miss it!  Anyway I was really touched that Dawn added one of my layouts to the gallery standout thread over at ScrapMatters that I just had to come over here and share.  It is always fun getting a bit of recognition for a layout.

I actually made that page for the Faith Sisters My Lifetime story challenge.  It was challenge #18 scrap a spiritual moment.  The photos are of me at about age 10.

Shhh...  If you like the composition of that layout I'll let you in on a little secret.  I just may have made that layout into a template for a template blog train that the Sarah Bennett CT just might be working on sometime in the near future so you just might want to keep watching for it if you like templates.
