In my previous post I explained how much I love Scribbly Alpha 2! Sarah Bennett asked me to host some give-a-ways for that alpha! Here are the links where the give-a-ways are. If you want that alpha go post on these threads in these forums for some chances to WIN! Winners will be chosen randomly.

A cool new alpha to show you, a layout to share and a FREE template for you.
The more I scrap the more I appreciate a good alpha! Using an alpha just offers so much more versatility than using a font! I like that I can make my alpha squished up and overlapping or super straight and lined up. An alpha is a must have for a great title in my opinion. Do you know who is good at making really well made alpha? Sarah Bennett. She has a new alpha out at Funky Playground Designs. It is called "Scribbly Alpha 2." The colors are AWESOME! It comes in FIVE colors with both upper case and lower case plus numbers and lots of symbols. It is such a great deal. It is really similar to Scribbly Alpha 1, but in the first version the colors are bright and bold. In this new version the colors are more subdued but so amazing! Go and grab it. It is 25% off Monday only.

I am so excited! I went back through my blog and noticed that I had comments! I thought for sure my blog was set up so that if someone comments I would receive an email, however it turns out that it wasn't. I fixed that though! Anyway thanks for your comments. I practically did the happy dance when I learned that real people are actually visiting my blog!
Do you participate in challenges in the store forums? Which ones do you like? I enjoy pretty much all challenges in the several store forum's that I've visited. Recently I've been participating somewhat regularly in the challenges at Funkyplayground designs.
For the Wednesday scraplift challenge at FPD, Melanie the hostess, pointed us toward a gallery that is for paper scrapbookers. It is fun checking out what people do with their paper supplies. It has been awhile since I have done a paper page. My heart was stolen by digital scrapping! Anyway I thought it was really cool taking a paper layout and producing it digitally for the lift. The gallery we lifted was from a 2 Peas in a Bucket user named "findinganna."
Here is her layout that I lifted...

(link to her page) (link to her gallery)
I was drawn to the photo arrangement in her layout.
Here is the layout I made with findinganna's layout as inspiration... (and yes I am postinng this in august not December. I just have a ton of Christmas pictures to scrap to get caught up. If you notice the date on this layout is 2007).

AND of course I had to use Sarah Bennett's new Scribbly Alpha 2 for my title. That alpha goes with just about anything, and the red and green went perfectly with my layout.
I didn't have a scallop shape and I really wanted one for my layout lift. I looked around for one, but I ended up just learning to make a scallop clipping mask and made my own. Since I was all excited about making my own scallop clipping mask I made a template to share! Of course it is based on findinganna's "Oh You So Beautiful" paper layout above from FPD's scraplift challenge.
Here is what the template looks like:

If you think you can use that template you are welcome to it! Just click on the image below for the MediaFire download link. I would LOVE to know if you grabbed it, so leave me a little shout out if you download.

Thanks to Debbie and mhsands I also made this template with the png's ! Thanks for leaving me comments and helping me figure out what to do ladies. Once I read your comments on how to do it I said a big ol' "duh!" I don't know what exactly I was thinking, but saving the layers as png's is as exactly as it sounds! If any of you that snag this template use the png files for a layout I would so appreciate it if you let me know if it looks right, and if there is a way I can do it better for those who use the png file.
I would be ever so happy if you leave a link in the comments to your layouts if you use this template! I want to see what you come up with!
Get going- go have some "unforgettable moments" and then get scrapping!

Just saying hi!
I will be back on Monday to show you a neat little goody that will be going into Sarah Bennett's store at Funkly Playground Designs. I will also be sharing a template I made for those who are interested in snagging it. My mom (who lives five hours away) will be visiting this weekend. I am looking forward to her quick little visit. It will be fun, and real nice to see her (but it does mean less scrapping time haha). Oh and my baby boy will be two months old on Saturday. Why oh why do they grow so fast!
Ok, I'll see you Monday!

Ok, I'll see you Monday!

Pssst... wanna know where to get a cute alpha FREE?
Hi!
I wanted to stop by real quick and let you in on a little secret. Ok it isn't a secret what-so-ever, but I wanted to make sure you all knew about this really cute alpha that Sarah Bennett is giving away on her blog. It is a Wild Oats Bonus Alpha that goes with the the wildly cute kit "Wild Oats" she released at Funky Playground Designs just last Monday. It is a super CUTE alpha. It shadows really nicely, and it is so versitile.

Doesn't that look so FUN?!!
Here is how I used it on a page I made called Sidewalk Artist. The photos are from last year on 08-08-08, but I just did the page today.

Head on over to Sarah's blog by clicking here, and grab that alpha (it is in the August 11th post). Tell her AmyP sent ya.

My Layout!
I wanted to post about my layout- and direct you to a FABULOUS freebie...
I created a layout that was selected as Layout of the Week over at Funky Playground Designs. I thought it was pretty exciting. Here it is...
My LOTW page was made using the "Remember Me" kit by Sarah Bennett. It is truly a beautiful kit! The colors are rich and wonderful and the elements are beautiful and fun to work with. It truly is an amazing kit. It is definitely one that you'll want to own for your self!
Oh and about the freebie- Sarah Bennett has a freebie "Remember me add-on"posted on her blog! It is super cute. Go get the freebie, and then after that you won't be able to live without the full kit :)
Here is what the free add-on looks like-
Head over to Sarah's blog: http://sarahtawisha.blogspot.com/
and grab that freebie! It is posted in the July 29th post.
Have a great day and drop whatever you are doing and start scrapping! :)
